Cool Views & More
Just recently I switched places of employment (you can read about it HERE). My new office of this new job is in Midtown Atlanta. Fortunately we are afforded with a great view of the city and can see right down Peachtree Street. With the view I have become more and more conscience of what is happening with Atlanta's development.
One great resource I came across a while back is the Atlanta Metroscapes forum. The forum was started by an enthusiastic high schooler; and soon to be in his first year of college. What is fantastic about the site is its wealth of information about what is happening in the South and specifically Atlanta. So if you have a spare minute or two check it out, and I promise you will see so much of what is happening with Atlanta's growth right now you'll lose an hour before you know it :) .
The image I wanted to post is from our office at night. Below in the image to the bottum left is the 1010 Midtown project (which I am taking pics of weekly). This will be a big first step in the realization of the Midtown Mile (a million square feet of retail space along the Peachtree corridor from North Ave. to 17th Street.

Enjoy that Peachtree view while it's available! I work in the 1100 building, and was on the southeast-facing side for a while. The view is great at night, but (as I'm sure you know) 1010 will be much taller than 1100. I'm on the northeast-facing side now, so I have a great view of the pimp'd rides rolling in and out of the "Hand Wash".
Hey Lance... Yep, I know its just a matter of time before I get to look down upon the pool deck of 1010 with my zoom lens on my camera :).
Hey, do you remember a few months ago when they found that dead girl in her car in the lot next to the car detailing place? I actually parked right next to the girl's car that day. The firefighters showed up right when I was jamming my money in the pay slot. Crazy stuff...My car is more famous than me as it was on the news that day :) I never did hear anything about what they found out about who the girl was and what was the cause of death. Weird.
I was somewhat disturbed when I found out the the guys with the offices on either side of mine both have binoculars within arms reach. I don't know which of them later deposited a set of happy meal toy binoculars on my desk.
Maybe you're a crime solving psychic.
